There is a limited number of people having the position they most like, but there are a lot of aspects, that can do your job more enjoyable. For example, relations with colleagues can be satisfying; conversely, bad peer relationship can be extremely unpleasant.

Scientists found that such thing as salary and working conditions are not enough to make employees satisfied with their work, but if they are not good enough they can cause dissatisfaction. Such things are called hygiene factors, they are: supervision, company policy, working conditions, salary, peer relationships, security. There also are motivator factors: achievement, recognition, the work itself, responsibility, advancement, growth.

There are the conception that people instinctively dislike work and opposite view that everybody has a potential for development and taking responsibility. Recently has come the notion of empowerment, the idea that decision-making should be decentralized to employees. But some employees can like taking responsibility and other can become stressed by it. For some people it’s important to have work-life balance, high quality of life and avoidance of stress during the work time.
