(Walking gingerly through the sand, SERVALAN heads for a gorse bush. Beneath it is concealed a transmitter which she speaks to urgently.)
SERVALAN: This is Servalan. Repeat, this is Servalan. Calling battle cruiser Phoenix. Mission aborted.
54. Seashore
(As a result of freak electronics, SERVALAN’s voice is heard over Algor’s loudspeakers.)
SERVALAN: (vo) Repeat – mission aborted!
(Grimly, AVON begins to move off but VILA restrains him and hands over AVON’s lost bracelet.)
VILA: I don’t think my heart can stand the strain of any more excitement.
SOOLIN: Your heart’s in the right place.
(AVON looks at her inquiringly.)
SOOLIN: The rest of us didn’t feel inclined to come looking for you. Vila persuaded us otherwise – with a gun. As far as I’m concerned, you’re not worth a second thought. You owe Vila your life.’
TARRANT: (into bracelet) Dayna, we’re ready to come up now.
DAYNA: (vo) Not before time! The teleport is still tuned to random pick-up coordinates; I’ll do the best I can...
(AVON is about to speak when he is teleported away.)
SOOLIN: That’s the closest you’ll ever get to Avon saying ‘thank you’.
(TARRANT and SOOLIN are promptly teleported as well.)
VILA: (into bracelet) Hey, what about me?
(Even as he speaks, VILA dematerializes... only to reappear further along the beach.)
VILA: What’s going on?
(He teleports again, and ends up even further along the shore.)
DAYNA: (vo – laughing) Sorry, Vila!
VILA: I don’t think this is at all funny—
(VILA finally teleports for good, leaving the beach empty.)

(Scorpio breaks Epsilon’s orbit and hurtles off into the distance.)
