Agricultural mechanics tech are trained to diagnose, repair, maintain and operate machinery that is typically used in the farming industry. While many schools or programs offer agricultural mechanization and operation training, on – the – job training may also suffice for those who wish to gain immediate employment. Training in both a classroom setting and on – the – job will most likely include the operation of agricultural tractors, diesel engines, hydraulic systems and metal repair. Agricultural mechanics technology associate’s degrees are available, and typically include courses in communication and business, as well as field machi-nery operations, electrical systems and engine repair.
