Aliter Company advertises its product in order to sell it. Despite that there are many other factors and human emotions that we appeal, that would lead consumers purchase Pink Snow Candy and Toffe. Promoting product recognition is one of them. Through repetition, a product becomes established in the minds of the targeted audience. The actual advertisement appeals to people’s emotion, slogan “Happiness has a flavor” makes consumers think that purchasing our product they would get joy of eating our merchandise. That is one of the reasons why people eat so many sweets. This product goes to belonging and satisfaction in Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. White roses in the print advertisement represent high class and romance. This can promote people to buy it not just for them but to people they care about as well. The background of advertisement is dark, so the product stands out. That was the reason why we didn’t use the previous sample. The background was shiny and it took all attention away.

In video advertisement we show a girl who is sad and lost and when she finds Aliter’s chocolate she becomes happy just supporting our slogan. Consumers would think that if they consume our product they will be happy as well. The link to a video: https://www.dropbox.com/s/4fm0ua61v48u0eo/marketing%20ad.wmv

Reasoning |
Television |
Yes |
Most of students don’t have full time access to television and the homeroom alternative to it works out. Students are more lucky to see the advertisement in school then in TV as such. It is also considerably cheaper. |
Radio |
Yes |
Every morning first minutes of class prefect council make announcements. Our group mate is prefect as well, so it would be easy for our company to access school “radio”. |
Newspaper |
No |
First of all, newspaper advertisement is out of suggestions because of financial factors. It also targets much bigger market, which even doesn’t include our primary market. |
Magazine |
No |
Luck of financial resources |
Out-of-home |
Yes |
Everything out of residence is out-of-home. Due to this factor we get lots of place to hang posters. Some important places where our advertisement should go are cafeteria door, front desk and elevators. There is no person that would not know about our product in few days. The only factor that we had to consider was permission and we got it from Robert(one of teacher dons). |
Direct-to-home |
Yes |
Its strategy is the same as out-of-home advertisement. The only difference is that it is located in residence (everything above M floor). |
Internet |
Yes |
We have access to school Facebook page as well as we can create our website as such. |
Specialty |
No |
Luck of economic resources |
Contests |
No |
Product is not too expensive, so people rather pay 2-3 dollars more to get it for sure. |
Rebates |
no |
Because our project doesn’t last for long enough for consumers to want the refund. |
Coupons |
No |
It is risky because we can lose our profit. |
Samples |
Yes |
Most of our customers would like samples, because people have different tastes and can tell their friends products that they do not like, so we would rather have everyone to try both samples and decide their selves. |
Hands on advertisement |
yes |
2 of our group members will walk around classrooms and show product to students. |
