Why you need this book?
“What I hear, I forget;
What I see, I remember;
What I do, I understand.”
Confucius
People remember…
10% of what they READ
20% of what they HEAR
30% of what they SEE
50% of what they SEE&HEAR
70% of what they SAY
90% of what they DO
As children, our primarily learning tools were reading and writing. As we grow older, and our attention span grows shorter, these tools are rendered ineffective.
Learning happens for adults only when they are actively involved in the process. Action has a deep impact on memory.
Research shows that understanding and retention is long lasting only when we learn by doing.
This book is a compilation of exercises that derive profound insights by actively engaging and involving the participants.
Lessons on important Part 1 course points are derived through a fun and easy manner. The focus is as much on enjoying the process as it is on the learning from it.
How to use this book?
The book is organized into sections, viz. Leadership, Teamwork
Each section comprises:
Exercises
Each exercise has comprehensive trainer notes, which the trainers are advised to adhere to. This will ensure that every important aspect of the exercise is covered. Also it will ensure that the trainer is prepared for participant responses and actions as outlined in “Expect to see” and “Expect to hear” tips.
Care has been taken to design specific exercises for each course. Trainers are recommended to adhere to it to ensure no duplication.
Few exercises need the use of props. These are very important to draw out the Learning and should not be over looked.
The Learnings at the end of each exercise are the most important takeaways for the participants. Trainers should spend at least 20% of the exercise time on discussing the learnings. Examples, instances, situation specific to the group can be discussed to reinforce and reiterate the message.
The exercises will have a deeper and longer lasting impact on the participants if each of them makes a personal action plan for the future. Trainers are advised to ensure that there is a follow-up for implementation.
Quotes
A few words with profound meaning, can add to the depth of understanding of the trainer and participants.
“Winners are too busy to be sad, too positive to be doubtful, too optimistic to be fearful, too determined to be defeated.”

How is this relevant to our life (Findings)
The following points should be established
● When we work alone in different directions, it leads to chaos and disharmony
● When we start in bigger groups, it leads to more harmony and we feel good too
● When we work in big groups and follow a leader, not only do we achieve our goal, we
bond better, feel good and look great as a team to the world
Similarly (Future)
In this course we will follow San Gachhadhawam
move together
