5. Translate using Past Tenses:
Однажды известный английский писатель Оливер Голдсмит путешествовал верхом на лошади. Он видел, что уже темнеет, а до места, куда он ехал, еще далеко и он начал искать гостиницу, чтобы провести в ней ночь. Он спросил у встречного человека, где тут лучший дом, а тот его не понял и указал на частный дом. Оливер вошел в дом и был встречен хозяином. Думая, что он говорит с хозяином гостиницы, он приказал подготовить для него комнату и ужин. Джентльмен сразу понял ошибку, но решил сыграть шутку, и Оливеру дали все, о чем он просил. Утром он заказал завтрак и велел принести счет. И только тогда он обнаружил, что ошибся. В дальнейшем оказалось, что это дом друга его отца.
Позже Голдсмит написал комедию на эту тему, которая ставилась во многих театрах.
