Making a wish

Мы можем выражать желания относительно настоящего, прошлого и будущего. Мы говорим ‘wish’, когда сожалеем о чем-то, когда что-то происходит не так, как мы хотели бы.

2. After “I wish” we may use “were” instead of “was” in all persons.
