صفة / ظرف حال hard

( صفة )  It's a hard work .

( ظرف)  He works hard .

ظرف فقط بمعنى " بالكاد – نادرا " hardly

تعطي معنى النفي  There is hardly any water in the glass .



اعتاد أن في الماضي المصدر Used to +

 He used to ride a bike when he was young .

معتاد على ( حتى الآن ) be used to + V – ing

 He is used to playing football .



Grammar

أولا روابط الإضافة

and - as well as - besides - in addition to – not only .. but also

 He travelled abroad . He saw a lot of places .

 He travelled abroad and saw a lot of places .

تحول "and " إلى " " or في الجملة المنفية بشرط أن يكون فاعل الجملتين واحد .

 He didn't travel abroad or saw any places .

لاحظ أيضا

 He went to the market . He went to the zoo .

 He went to the market and the zoo .

as well as - in addition to – besides } + V – ing {

 He read the story and did the homework .

 He read the story besides doing the homework .

 He read the story as well as doing the homework .

 He read the story in addition to doing the homework .

Not only …….. but also ………………

Not only ……….. But ………… as well .

 he succeeded . He got high marks .

 He not only succeeded but also he got high marks .

 He not only succeeded but he got high marks as well .

لاحظ أيضا

 He didn't only succeed but he also got high marks .

 Soha wasn't only waiting for Ahmed but she was also waiting for Sally .

لاحظ وضعهم بعد الفعل المساعد إن وجد

لكن لاحظ إذا بدأت الجملة بـ " Not only " يأتي بعدها فعل مساعد ثم الفاعل

 Not only did he succeed but he also got high marks .

إذا كانت الجملة الثانية منفية نستخدم " " not only … but … either

 He came late . He didn't apologize .

 He not only came late but he didn't apologize either .

إذا ربطت " " not only فاعلين فان الفعل يتبع الفاعل الأقرب

 Ali is clever . They are clever .

 Not only Ali but also they are clever .



 أفعال تتبع بــ المصدر to + أو " V + ing " مع اختلاف بسيط في المعنى

يحبlike / love

يبدأbegin

حقيقة عامة  I like swimming .

حالة خاصة  I like to swim .

لكن إذا سبقت هذة الأفعال بــــ would تتبع بــــ المصدر to +

 I'd prefer to drink coffee .

 I'd like to phone my friend .

ملحوظة مع الفعل prefer

عند المقارنة بين شيئين لاحظ الأتي

Prefer ( v + ing & noun ) to ( v + ing & noun )

 I prefer reading to watching TV .

 I prefer tea to coffee .



التعبير عن الدهشة surprise

يا الهي  Good heavens !

يا لها من مفاجأة  What a surprise !

إنها مفاجأة  It's a surprise !

يا لها من مفاجأة جميلة  What a lovely surprise !

التعبير عن الأمل hope

أتمنى لك الشفاء العاجل  I hope you get well ( be better ) soon .

التعبير عن القلق Worry
