تحويل الجملة داخل الأقواس إلي جملة خبرية(عن طريق تقديم الفاعل علي الفعل المساعد"مع ملاحظة عند وجود did, do ,does يتم حذفهم ")
تحويل فعل القول
Says
asks / wants to know.
Said asked / wanted to know.
تحذف الأقواس و نربط بـ (if – whether)
تحول الضمائر و الأزمنة .
تحذف علامة الاستفهام و توضع (full stop)
إذا كان السؤال به do / does تحذف و يحول الفعل إلى الماضي مثال :-
Noura said to azza, "Do you speak English.?"
Noura asked azza whether she spoke English.
إذا كان السؤال به did تحذف و يتحول الفعل على الماضي التام
Eman said to Samar, "Did you finish your work?
Eman asked Samar if she had finished her work.
b) Wh-Questions السؤال بأداة استفهام
1. نفس الخطوات السابقة .
2. لاحظ .... يتم حذف الأقواس و نربط بنفس أداة الاستفهام و نحول الجملة إلي جملة خبرية.
The teacher asked the student, "Where have you been?"
The teacher asked the student where he had been.

I asked Ahmed what his favourite hobby was.
Yasmeen said Bathant. "When did you finish your work?"
Yasmen asked Marwa when she had finished her work.
Expressions of quantity
1-many (too many): كثير للعدد:- ويأتي بعدها اسم يعد في صيغة الجمع
I have got many (a lot of / lots of) relatives .
There were too many difficult questions in the test, so I couldn't answer all the questions.
2-much (too much): كمية كثيرة :- ويأتي بعدها اسم لا يعد.
She doesn't have much time for hobbies.
He has got much (a lot of / lots of) money .
There is too much noise. I can't sleep.
3-A lot of (lots of): كثير من للعدد والكميات :-
وهي تحل محل many و much في الجمل المثبتة فقط و لكن لا تحل محل too many و لا too much.
I've got a lot of (lots of ) friends (money).
4- a few(too few): عدد قليل من(ولكنه يكفي) :- يأتي بعدها اسم يعد غي صيغة الجمع
She bought a few books.
Few: عدد قليل من(ولكنه لا يكفي) :- يأتي بعدها اسم يعد غي صيغة الجمع
She bought few books.
5-a little(too little) : قليل للكمية(و يكفي ): يأتي بعدها اسم لا يعد
I like my tea with a little sugar .
There is too much noise . I can't sleep.
little : قليل للكمية(و لا يكفي ): يأتي بعدها اسم لا يعد
there is little sugar in my tea. I need some .
