I. Discuss the following problems and items.

1 What three things, according to the writer, can we find out about a person once we know his/her job? Do you agree? 2 What do we know about the attitude of the girl’s parents to the different careers their daughter considered? Can you think of other professions that carry a special sort of glamour?

GROUP INTERVIEW

One of you is Simon, the other – the girl. Interview them on their choice of a career.

CONVERSATION PRACTICE

Make up a dialogue between Simon and the girl on the choice of their careers.
