In Russia physicians are trained in medical academies or Universities.
To enter a medical school in GB candidates must pass examinations. For entrance it is required that the subjects of chemistry, Russian language and biology should be taken at an advanced level.
Education in Russia is financial supported by the state.
The academic year is divided into 2 terms.
Doctor’s training last 6 years in Therapy, pediatrics, sanitation and hygiene, and 5 year IN STOMATOLOGY AND PHARMACY. During 2 preclinical years students study anatomy, biology, physiology and biochemistry, latin, histology. The attend lectures, do dissections and practical work in labs. Beginning with the third year the students study the methods of clinical examinatijn and history taking, pathology, microbiology.
Upon completion of the 6 year having passed state examinations, graduates receive their diplomas. The graduates of medical institutes can complete clinical internship and post-graduate courses.

To enter a medical school in GB candidates must pass examinations. Entrance examinations are both oral and written. For entrance it is required that the subjects of chemistry, physics and biology should be taken at an advanced level.
Tuition fees are charged. Most student receive financial assistance in the form of grants, which cover their expences wholly or in part.
The academic year is divided into 3 terms.
Undergraduate education last 5 years, consisting of 2 years of basic sciences and 3 years of clinical work. During 2 preclinical years students study anatomy, biology, physiology and biochemistry, genetics. The attend lectures, do dissections and practical work in labs. Latin is not taught in all medical schools. Beginning with the third year the students study the methods of clinical examinatijn and history taking, pathology, microbiology.
At the ends of the course of studies young specialists are given the academic degrees of bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery. These degrees give the right to register as a medical practitioner.

GPs start their working day at 08.00 when they arrive to the surgery, check for urgent and non-urgent messages.
At 8.30 a GP check emails from the health board and partners. So he or she prepares for morning surgery which implies ten-minute appointments. Morning surgery lasts from 8.30 to 10.50 a.m.
At about 11 a.m. a GP checks with reception for messages, signs prescriptions and deal with repeat prescription requests.
