Structure of The Human Body

1. What are the main parts of the human body? The human body consists of the tree main parts: the head, the trunk & the limbs.

2. What is the brain? The brain is the organ of thinking & the center of the nervous system. It is located inside the skull.

3. What do we see with? We see with our eyes. The eye is the organ of sight.

4. A) What people are shortsighted? People who cannot discern distant objects are shortsighted. B) What people are long-sighted? People who can see things better at a distance are long-sited. C) What people are blind? People who cannot see at all are blind.

5. What are the organs of speech? The most important organs of speech are the tong, the uvula & the vocal cords.

6. What people are deaf? People who cannot hear at all are deaf.

7. What are the five senses? The five senses are sight, hearing, smell, taste & touch.

8. Where do the lungs lie? The lungs lie inside the chest.

9. Where do the kidneys lie? The kidneys lie in the abdomen.

10. Where do the intestines (the bowels) lie? The intestines (the bowels) lie in the abdomen.

11. Where does the heart lie? The heart lies inside the chest.

12. Where does the liver (the spleen, the stomach, the gallbladder) lie? The liver (the spleen, the stomach, the gallbladder) lies in abdomen.

13. What are the upper extremities? The upper extremities are the arms. Each arm is made up of the upper arm, the forearm, & the hand.

14. What are the lower extremities? The lower extremities are the legs. Each leg is made up of the thigh, the shin, & the foot.

15. What joints do you know? I know the shoulder joint, which connects the arm with the trunk… The outer part of the joint between the upper arm & the forearm is the elbow, & the part jointing the forearm with the hand is the wrist. The knuckles are the finger joints. I know the coxofemoral join which connects the leg with the trunk. The joint connecting the thigh with the shin is the knee & that one connecting the shin & the foot is the ankle.

16. What is the skeleton? The skeleton is the bony framework of the body.
