Step 2. Types of questions (Типы вопросов)

Чтобы составить вопрос, нужно изменить порядок слов в предложении.

Нужно сначала поставить вопросительное местоимение(What/Where/When/ What time/ How much/ How long/ How often/ How/ Why), затем вспомогательный глагол ( am/ is/ are, do/does, did, have/has, had, will) или модальный глагол ( can, may, must, shall, could), потом подлежащее, смысловой глагол, дополнения и все прочие члены предложения.)

For example: When do you usually start work?

When did you usually start work last week?

When will you start work tomorrow?

Can I give you the money tomorrow?

Should we come to the station tomorrow?

Исключения

Вопрос к подлежащему, начинающийся со слов “who, what, which”, в котором порядок слов не меняется.

Ex.: Willy is the winner. Who is the winner?

The key is left on the floor. What is left on the floor?

В английском языке существует несколько типов вопросов:

1. General questions (общий вопрос)

Они требуют ответа yes/no.

Ex.: Do you like sports?

Are they sleeping now?

Did he study English last year?

2. Special questions (специальный вопрос)

Они начинаются с вопросительных слов, например: where, when, why, what, which, who, how long, и требуют развернутого ответа.

Ex.: Where have you been? I’ve been to school.

When did you get up? I got up at 9 am.

Why will you go there? I will be there at 5 pm.

3. Alternative questions - (альтернативный вопрос)

В нем используется … or …?

Ex.: Is he a teacher or a student? He is a student.

Are they sleeping or playing now? They are playing.

4. Tag Questions (расчлененный вопрос)

Вопросы, состоящие из двух частей, где вторая часть вопроса переводится на русский язык как «Не так ли?». При этом если первая часть вопроса представляет собой утверждение, во второй части глагол ставится в отрицательной форме, и наоборот, если первая часть представляет собой утверждение в отрицательной форме, глагол во второй части ставится в утвердительной форме.

Исключения

Вопросы, начинающиеся с “Let’s”,здесь вторая часть вопроса всегда будет “…shall we?”

Ex.: You are a teacher, aren’t you?

You aren’t a teacher, are you?

He plays tennis, doesn’t he?

He doesn’t play tennis, does he?

It wasn’t rainy yesterday, was it?

He loves music, doesn’t he?

This city has seen a lot, hasn’t it?

He played football last year, didn’t he?

Let’s go out together, shall we?

Let’s dance, shall we?

Step 2. Adverbs of time (Наречия времени)

1) Переделайте предложения в рассказ о своем дне, использовав следующие наречия: always, often, usually, sometimes, rarely, never:

I usually get up early.

4. I go to school by bus.

2) Обратите внимание, что эти наречия ставятся после глагола ‘to be’.

1. I am sleepy in the morning.

2. I am late for school (work).

3. I am hungry at 12.00.

4. I’m tired in the evening.

5. I’m happy at the end of the day.

Step 3. Question (Вопрос)

1. Напишите вопросы к данным словам и ответьте на них.

2. Напишите вопросы, подходящие к ответам.

Step 6. Tail questions (Расчлененные вопросы)

Закончите вопрос по образцу.
