2. Read and translate the text. My favourite kind of art!!!
To begin with I’d like to stress that speaking about art, first of all, we think of music, painting, theatre and cinema. There are the things we can’t live without. I can’t imagine my life, for example, without music and cinema. When we go to large cities we usually go to museums to see the masterpieces exhibited there. As I have told, the life would be dull and our general outlook would be so narrow if we don’t go and see and enjoy something which brings you pleasure.
But it is not an easy task to deal with all aspects of art that’s why I’ve decided to speak briefly about my favourite kind of art – it’s music.
I suppose that the man who hasn’t music in himself is fit for treasons, the motions of his spirit are dull as night.
And it’s really so! Can you imagine one day without listening to music? As for me I can’t. When I come from academy so much tired I switch on the tape and listen to light music and I feel that I am better, my tiredness goes away, I am ready to do something serious. In my childhood I studied at music school and played the piano. I worked seriously and even thought to connect my life with music. But my plans changed somehow. Nevertheless music is the best entertainment in my life.
Of course music can be different: classical, chamber, jazz, light, contemporary/modern, folk, dance, pop, symphonic, and instrumental. As for me I am fond of light music.
To continue my narration I’d like to add that the world of music knows many prominent and talented composers, singers and groups.
As to the composers I can’t but mention V. Ivasiuk, O. Morozov, V. Dobrynin, O.Havrysh. I like their songs. They are so melodious and charming.
Our Ukraine is rich in talented singers. We should mention S. Rotaru, N. Jaremchuk – the nightingale of Bukovyna. They sing about the beauty of our nature, about our love to country, they call us to be patriots and glorify our history. Each of them is a truly creative singer. They can captivate the audience and get encores for it. Many singers give living shape and vitality to every phrase in their lyrics. And that proves the fact they are really musical geniuses and unique!!!!!
Thus, to sum it up I must say that there is hardly a human being who doesn’t like music. And if there is one, we must feel sorry for him!!!
