to ensure – гарантувати, забезпечувати
to apply – стосуватися; (чогось, когось - to) ; належати
A letter of inquiry is 1) схожий, подібний to a letter of application, except that is does not refer to a specific job opening. Submit a letter of inquiry when you know that you would like to work for a certain company but are 2) непоінформований, що не знає of any openings. Check the company's website or advertising to ensure that you aren't overlooking any posted job openings that would make it more 3) доречний, придатний to send a letter of application.
A letter of inquiry follows the same three-part format as a letter of application. Your covering letter is as important as the CV or application form it accompanies. It’s your 1) … to sell yourself to the employer and say why your CV or application is worth reading. Use it to highlight your enthusiasm and 2) … for the job and emphasise your strengths.
It should be clearly structured to cover:
what you’re applying for – the 3) … and where you saw the advert;
why you’re applying to them, why the 4) … you and why you want to work for that organisation in particular;
why you are suitable – emphasise your relevant skills, 5) … and personal qualities by elaborating on the information in your CV or application form.
