Self-appraisal as a diagnostic method has been used in psychology for a long time. Besides, there always existed a question of its adequacy in connection with the problem of self-appraisal adequacy.
At the same time the diagnostics of self-appraisal has a great and independent interest, because it plays an important role in a person’s development, in his socio-psychological and social relations, in his activity and intercourse.
