7.1.2. The procedure of the diagnostics

7.1.2.1. The procedure of the diagnostics of socio-psychological and social characteristics using the method of expert estimations.

7.1.2.1.1. Suggest an expert estimating the level of the examinee’s characteristics with the help of universal diagnostic scale. Explain beforehand that the apparatus ATS-6 has a 25-number scale including 5 equal diapasons (ranges) in 5 basic numbers each:

  • the estimation “very little” corresponds to a range from 1 up to 5 (inclusive) numbers of the scale, marked by figures;

  • the estimation “little” – from 6 up to 10 numbers;

  • the estimation “middle” – from 11 up to 15 numbers;

  • the estimation “strong” – from 16 up to 20 numbers;

  • the estimation “very strong” – from 21 up to 25 numbers.

Each basic number (it is marked by a figure on the scale) is divided into 10 points. That’s why the estimation can be made to within 0,1 numbers.

7.1.2.1.2. A positive estimation is expressed by an expert’s moving the mark of the left romper-suit to the right, to the appropriate scale point, and a negative one – by moving the right romper-suit to the left.

If the estimation is indifferent (neither positive nor negative), both romper-suits remain on zero marks on the scale, i.e. in extreme positions.

7.1.2.1.3. Carry out the reading of the indication and put down the result in column 3, table 20.

7.1.2.1.4. In order to receive a more authentic (exact) result, you’d better use the estimations of several experts. In this case put down the results in column 3, 4 and 5, table 20 accordingly.

7.1.2.2. The procedure of the diagnostics with the help of a questionnaire.

7.1.2.2.1. The examinee gives answers to the questionnaire due to a 25-number diagnostic scale.

He gives a positive answer to the question by moving the left mark to the right, and the negative one – by moving the right mark to the left. If the estimation is indifferent both romper-suits remain on zero marks of a scale.

7.1.2.2.2. The questionnaires with such answers as “yes, no, I don’t know” correspond with the universal 25-number scale in the Following way. The answer “yes” can be achieved by moving the left mark to the right till it reaches the point which corresponds to “yes”. The answer “no” can be achieved by moving the right mark to the left. The answer “I don’t know” corresponds to the both marks staying at zero mark.

7.1.2.2.3. If the questionnaires envisage the answers according to the scales (from 5 to 9 numbers), these scales correspond with the universal 25-number scale due to proportion.
