The Present / Past Indefinite Tense
Use the proper form of verbs.
I always (meet, met) Mike at the bus-stop when I go to school.
My friend (is, was) late yesterday.
Kate often (sings, sang) English songs.
We (finish, finished) our work 2 years ago.
The farmers (thank, thanked) us for our help last Saturday.
We (see, saw) our engineer last Monday.
Did you (go, went) to the library yesterday?
Mother (watches, watched) TV when he came.
Andrew and Nelly (dance, danced) well last night.
The students (can’t, couldn’t) speak English last year.
Pete’s sister (stays, stayed) at home, because she was ill.
Future Indefinite or the Future Perfect.
Replace the infinitives in brackets by the Future Indefinite or the Future Perfect.
1. He (to receive) the telegram tomorrow.
2. He (to receive) the telegram by tomorrow.
3. I (to do) the exercises by seven o'clock.
4. I (to do) the exercises in the afternoon.
5. By this time you (to take your examination).
6. You (to take) your examination next week.

The Perfect Tenses
Replace the infinitives in brackets by the Present Perfect, the Future Perfect or the Past Perfect.

She hasn’t learnt those verbs yet but she (to learn) them before the next lesson.

The Present Perfect Tense
