Beats by Dr.Dre has a very well designed and easy to navigate website, which contains information about its product collection, news and events, support and links to its ‘BeatsArmy’. The website has also its domains in different countries.

Mobile Marketing

As we all know, today the world of technology is evolving at a very fast rate and, in fact, it has evolved a lot so far. Consumers of different age groups extensively use mobile apps, QR codes, online mobile ads, text messaging, e-mail, mobile search and web content reformatted specially for mobile phones.

So, as we see from the statistics, Canadians do use mobile Internet at a very high rate. Which is why, both a mobile app for Beats by Dr.Dre and a mobile version of a website should be launched. An app can be created at first for iPhones and then, if successful, versions for Androids and Blackberrys can be designed.

Social Network Marketing

As it was mentioned before, social media concept is deeply integrated into the marketing strategy of Beats by Dr. Dre. The company has a lot of accounts in social networks (all referred to as BeatsArmy): Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Google +, Instagram, Tumblr and Pinterest. Recently, on July 1,2012, Beats Electronics acquired digital music service MOG. It still works as an individual company, without immediate changes made to its structure, but for both Beats Electronics and MOG this union is a big milestone in their  in the companys’ commitment to creating the best end-to-end premium music experience for both fans and artists alike.

Apart from that, account in other social networks maybe created, such as last.fm – a music library, which has a data carefully sorted and stored about every single concert, music band, album, event etc.

An account in MySpace can also be created as it is a music oriented network.

Summary

All in all, the company’s promotional mix is set at a very high level: all of the public relations tools are successfully integrated into a marketing strategy of Beats by Dr.Dre, social media concept is well developed (7 accounts in most popular social networks which are constantly being updated), elements of advertising and sponsorship are also seen in company’s IMC. A few ways were offered to improve the publicity and integrate CRM concept (see Sales promotions and Personal Selling).
