Line: LNK - the given light-emitting diode shows, that to Prestige the leased line (port WAN) is connected, and it is successfully initialized.

64К and 128К - the light-emitting diode 64К shows, that speed of a line 64К. A light-emitting diode 128К show, that speed of a line 128К.

Ethernet: LNK - the given light-emitting diode shows, that Prestige is connected to a LAN through interface Ethernet.

ТХ and RX - transmission light-emitting diodes (Transmit) and reception (Receive) show presence of the traffic of a LAN.

COL - shows collision presence by transmission on a LAN.

SMT - shows, that Prestige it is connected to the controlling terminal through port RS-232.

SERVER - shows, that Prestige sets leased line synchronisation.

2.3 Customizations of bridge-router Zyxel Prestige 128l

Before to start device customisations, it is necessary to start program Hyper Terminal on the controlling terminal. (The start path See a figure … ….).

Further it is necessary to enter customisations of program Hyper Terminal.

To set a connection name (any quantity of characters).

To select port COM1 from the dropping out list “Connect using:”

To select from the dropping out list “Bits per second:” speed of connection - 9600kb/s.

To select from the dropping out list “Flow control:” handle of a stream - Hardware (hardware).

After performance of the operations set forth above we get to a window of link with SMT (System maintance terminal) a-firmware for handle Zyxel Prestige 128L.
