Accommodation and Catering

A wide variety of accommodation is available to the modern tourist. They vary from the guest or tourism home with one or two rooms to grand luxury hotel with hundreds of rooms.

Before the age of railroads, travelers stayed at inns-often in rural areas, or in small hotels –most of them family-owned -in towns and cities.

A pension, which is pronounced in French, is another type of accommodation for travelers, especially in Europe. It usually offers bed and breakfast at low prices.

Many people travel to Europe because of its rich historical and cultural heritage. As a result, many old homes and castles have been converted into small hotels.

Large, modern hotels contain not only guest rooms, but: restaurants and cocktail lounges, shops, swimming pools, health clubs, auditoriums, meeting rooms and exhibit areas.

Many hotels in resort areas have casinos, places for gambling. They feed, house and entertain the guests.

Another type of accommodation is motel. It is for people and their cars.

Caravanning and camping is another type of accommodation in modern tourism, thanks to the automobile. A caravan or van is a type of vehicle with sleeping place. In camping, the traveller carries a tent.

Also people use their boats for accommodation while they are travelling in them.

Catering, providing food and drink for guests, has always gone together with accommodations.

Food may be one of the reasons why people travel. Each country offers its national cuisine.

As for me the most convenient type of accommodation is hotel in resort. It is very comfortable and interesting.

The educational report about the business trip

An educational report is designed to help you become more familiar with a new country, destination or resort. This forms an important part of our customer service. There are 3 stages to the educational trip. Before you go you should complete the questionnaire using the Tour Operators brochure. During your stay you should complete the Educational Booklet, which contains questions about the resort itself. After the trip, you should discuss your trip with your manager.
