-Don’t send a CV without cover letter

A letter of complaint (скарга)
If you have a problem with a company or organization you will write a letter of complaint. Also you must remember:
-describe your problem
-be courteous and professional
-keep it short
-identify what you want
-include full contact information.
As for me, a complaint letter is more effective than a simple phone call or e-mail message.
I am writing to complain about the terrible organization of a holiday recently booked with Sun Tour. We had chosen to stay in Hilton, Turkey from 15-25 July in order to celebrate our wedding together in peaceful and relaxing surroundings.
Our troubles began at the airport where our outward flight was delayed for over 4 hours. We arrived at the hotel in the evening, tired and frustrated with having wasted the first day of the holiday.
The hotel was comfortable but the food lacked variety and the service was poor. Although advertised as a hotel is on the beach, it is in fact situated 500 meters from beach. There were a lot of noisy roadworks in the town.
I am looking for compensation for the inconvenience and distress of a ruined holiday.
Yours faithfully,
Ann Vikhrova
A letter of apology
An apology letter is written to say sorry to someone for some inconvenience. This letter has to show that you have taken full responsibility of error. This sort of letter has to be short and concise. The tone used should be positive and soft. The letter should have your plan of action. The language that you use in letter shouldn’t be dramatic but clear and the message has to be understood by the reader.
Dear Sam,
Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We are very sorry to hear that you had problems in hotel where we sent you. Please be assured that we will speak with checking staff and reception. Your satisfaction is our priority. We will give you a compensation for your inconvenience and distress of a ruined holiday.
