DIAGTBK DEMO

This demo program requires that you have both KAPPA-PC and TOOLBOOK
installed on you machine. The TOOLBOOK directory must be included in
your PATH variable.
The demo consists of 5 files:

- README.TXT : This file.
- DIAG.BAT : An MS/DOS procedure file which starts the demo from
the DOS command line.
- DIAG.TBK : TOOLBOOK application part
- DIAG.BIN : KAPPA application in BIN format
- DIAG.KAL : KAPPA application in KAL format (for your reference)


To start the demo:

- Type "diag" at the DOS prompt in your ..\SAMPLES\DIAGTBK directory.
This will start Windows 3.0, TOOLBOOK and the DIAG.TBK application
part, which in turn loads KAPPA and the DIAG.BIN application.
- The TOOLBOOK diagram appears in the top two thirds of the screen and
the KAPPA SESSION window appears at the bottom of the screen. Resize
them if you find it necessary.

- Click the "Reset" button to [re-] initialize the demo. This also
clears the SESSION window.
- Click the "Help" button to display this text file in the KAPPA
SESSION window. When you are done with this on-line help, click on
the "Reset" button.

- Click on any rectangle/triangle in the TOOLBOOK diagram: a message
is sent to KAPPA to diagnose the components, and KAPPA displays
messages in its SESSION window.

- Click the "Quit" button to exit the demo and return to KAPPA. This
will close your TOOLBOOK mainWindow and restore the KAPPA, BROWSER
and KTOOLS windows.


Notes:

- Currently in the diagram, some components are good and a couple of them
are bad. The application considers recursively the components, starting
from the one you click and going "against the flow" (opposite from the
direction of the arrows).
- During the diagnostic:
- CONSIDERED components are highlighted in YELLOW,
- GOOD components are highlighted in GREEN,
- BAD components are highlighted in RED.
- Currently, one simple test is associated with each component,
but more tests can be added to the Tests slot.
