Centuries ago, people didn't have much free time, because everybody was working too hard. In Britain in the nineteenth century, people had more spare time, but because the Victorians hated relaxing and doing nothing, they invented football, rugby and cricket. People took up more gentle activities too, like gardening, bird-watching and train spotting, and it was even possible simply to watch a sport and give the impression that you were actually doing something. Gradually, leisure activities have become less and less demanding, and most people have a variety of more or less energetic interests and hobbies. But now there is a new type of person who thinks that lying on the sofa watching television on Sunday afternoon or reading the newspaper from cover to cover is the most exciting activity they can manage. This is the twentieth-century couch potato. For them every activity is too much trouble, and laziness is an art form! So how do you spend your free time? Are you a couch potato?

Zodiac is an imaginary area of the sky containing the positions of the sun, the moon and the main planets, divided into 12 equal parts (the signs of the zodiac), named after 12 groups of stars. These signs used in astrology to predict the future. The signs of the zodiac are also called star signs. They are often called 'The Stars' in newspapers and magazines. Your date of birth determines which sign you are and this is supposed to have an influence on your personality. 'What star sign are you?' 'I'm a Gemini.' Oh, he's a typical Pisces/a typical Piscean.’ She was born under the sign of Leo.
Aries.
The 21st

Aries people are inclined to shout, to be brusque and hurtfully out-spoken. They tend to be commanding rather than deferential or considerate of the feelings of others. Aries subjects say what they think and feel at the time of speaking.
Taurus.
The 21st
of April – the 20th
of May
Taurus people tend to be slow, deliberate and slightly ponderous in the expression of their ideas. They seldom impose their thoughts and ideas on others: they are often very tenacious in their beliefs and very conservative in word and thought.
Gemini.
The 21st
of May – the 21st
of June
Gemini subjects are born talkers. They like nothing better than having a good gossip. They are often witty but change their ideas very rapidly. It’s no good trying to hold them to what they said yesterday.
Cancer.The
22nd
of June – the 22nd
of July
Cancer subjects can be very skilled conversationalists. They have a knack of drawing people out while disclosing very little themselves. They often make skillful orators and political speakers.
Leo.
The 23rd
of July – the 23rd
of August
Leo people are flamboyant and exhibitionist. They say startling things and like to “talk big”. Don’t look for modesty. Leos are past masters at kidding you into believing they are more distinguished, more important or more wealthy than they actually are.
