Dangling participles ошибки в употреблении причастий

Трудности употребления причастий и причастных оборотов обычно связаны с выбором нужной формы причастия или же с выбором места причастия или причастного оборота в предложении.

В русском языке при употреблении в предложении деепричастий всегда надо помнить, что действие глагола-сказуемого и деепричастия должны относиться к одному и тому же действующему лицу. Неправильно построены предложения, в которых деепричастие и глагол обозначают действия разных лиц, например: Сев за рояль, раздались звуки вальса.

Поскольку деепричастие обозначает добавочное действие подлежащего, то получается бессмыслица ("сели за рояль звуки"). Правильно надо построить предложение так: Когда она села за рояль, раздались звуки вальса. Другие примеры:

Получив письмо от товарища, Получив письмо от товарища, я

радость охватила меня. очень обрадовался.

Войдя в комнату, там никого не было. Когда я вошел в комнату, там

никого не было.

Об этом же следует помнить при употреблении причастий в английском языке: два действия, одно из которых выражено глаголом-сказуемым, а другое - причастием, должны осуществляться одним и тем же лицом (относиться к одному и тому же лицу). Having just eaten, I wasn't hungry (= Because I had just eaten, I wasn't hungry).

Нарушение этого правила приводит к построению неправильных конструкций, получивших в английском языке название "dangling participles". Сравните:

Оборот "объектный падеж с причастием I" употребляется в предложении в функции сложного дополнения и переводится на русский язык дополнительным придаточным предложением с союзами "что" или "как".

Сложное дополнение с причастием I употребляется:

Этот оборот аналогичен обороту "объектный падеж с инфинитивом". Однако между оборотами с причастием и с инфинитивом имеется смысловое различие, если неличная форма выражена глаголом предельного характера. Инфинитив в этом случае выражает законченное действие, тогда как причастие выражает незаконченное действие, т.е. действие в процессе его совершения. Поэтому оборот с причастием переводится на русский язык придаточным предложением с глаголом несовершенного вида, а оборот с инфинитивом - придаточным предложением с глаголом совершенного вида. Сравните:

I saw him cross the street. I saw him crossing the street.

Я видел, как он перешел улицу. Я видел, как он переходил улицу.

They saw the man leave. They saw the man leaving.

Они видели, как человек уехал. Они видели, как человек уезжал.

У глаголов непредельного характера это различие исчезает, и на русский язык оба оборота переводятся придаточным предложением с глаголом несовершенного вида:

They watched the doctor work/working. - Они наблюдали, как доктор работает.
