My university

Moscow Machine Tool Institute (at present Moscow State Technological University “Stankin”) was founded in 1930 for providing machine tool building, the most important branch of industry at that time, with highly qualified specialists in that domain. Machine tools are the only machine which can create the other ones (cars, planes, agricultural and everyday’s equipment etc.), including machine tools themselves. 

Since first decades of existence MSTU “Stankin” became the leading institution of tool-making industry in the country, place of birth of high qualified engineering and scientific man-power. From 1950 and upwards hundreds of students from all over the world are trained here. Many of them succeeded in life on their native soil – they became ministers, leaders of large-scale indus-trial enterprises and companies, rectors and professors of higher educational establishments, direc-tors of scientific research institutions.

Today “Stankin” is not only a place for study, it’s a scientific industrial complex with Technological Design Institute of Informatic of RSA; there’s also a net of scientific, educational and industrial centers, where students can realize their ideas. There’re some strong and authoritative schools in “Stankin”. It represents the main perspective in engineers and scientists training through post-graduate study (6 special Doctors and Bachelors Councils function under the university). Among 100 universities of Russia, “Stankin” is chosen the main one in the field of “machinebuilding technology, equipment and automatization of machinebuilding industry”. “Stankin” has got stable and always developing international relations with universities and firms from Austria, Brasilia, Hungary, Italy, China, USA, South Korea and other countries.

About myself.

My name is Inga, I am a girl of 20. Now I’m a student of MSTU STANKIN.

I was born on the 12th of November in 1991 in the town of Cheboksary. My early years which I remember badly, were typical of a child living in a town. I was sent to a kindergarten at the age of three. As all the children I went to school at the age of six. School for me was not only lessons and learning I had a lot of friends there. We organized extra class activities such as parties and other social activities. I actively participated in most of them.

 I would like to speak about my family, my parents. My father is 46 years old, but he looks much younger. He is an engineer, as he is a well-educated and well-read person, he has experience in many fields. That is why it is always interesting to communicate with him, he usually tells a lot of exciting stories. And my mother is 45. She is a beautiful woman with fair hair and large hazel eyes. I admire her character. She is an optimist, in almost every thing she sees its good side, she is full of energy and enthusiasm. She is a housewife. It takes her much time to and power to take care of the house and of me and my father. But I can say she copes with her job well. Also I have younger sister. she is 18 years old, we with her are very much alike.

My best friend is Lida. We made friends a few years ago. We are of the same age. In appearance she is very attractive. She has an oval face, a straight nose, thick dark hair, big green eyes and a pleasant smile. So people and, of course I, find her smart. Besides, Lida is known for her warm and friendly character. She is usually open-minded and interested in other people. I can always turn to her whenever I’m in trouble, and she never fails to help. In conclusion I’d like to add, that my friend is an interesting person. She is well-read. Her favourite foreign author is Julian Rowling and her creation Harry Potter.  Besides, she is keen on modern music and enthusiastic with sport. 

I think that it is very important to have a pet at home. And it absolutely does not matter, what kind of animal it is. It can be: a cat, a dog, a hamster, a parrot or even a gold fish. Cats and dogs are the most popular pets in many countries. People who live in flats prefer to keep cats, because there is no need to walk them every day. Cats are very compact animals, they like to lie on people’s laps and even in beds. I love cats because they are warm and fluffy. Cats let us stroke them and often purr with pleasure. For me cats are the most incredible and mystic animals. That’s why I have a cat as a pet. It’s name is Murka. She is 2 years old .Myrka has very beautiful eyes and when it is dark in the room they shine. She likes to play and to sleep, but most of all she likes to eat. And I have a dog. His name is Jack. He is old years. He is black in colours. I often play with my pets. I love very much them.
