1.2 The input of hryvnia.

The hryvnia in Ukraine was introduced into circulation September 2, 1996. Prior to that, since 1990 in Ukraine, in addition to the Soviet rubles were used so-called one-off coupons, which would have been impossible without the purchase of most goods. On January 10, 1992 were issued temporary Ukrainian banknotes, also called coupons, and denominated in Ukrainian rubles (karbovanets). They are called coupon karbovanetses.
