About myself

Let me introduce myself. My name is Helen. I was born on the 31 of March and I’m 20. I think life is for me. Every day I can see that there are a lot of different things I should know and learn.

From the very start I should say that I believe that stars influence our fate and character. I was born in March, so you see, I am Aries. Aries is full of energy, ambitious, hot tempered but quick to apologize and stubborn at times. But to my mind being persistent and stubborn is not always a bad thing. For me it also means that I do everything possible to achieve my aim; I never leave things half-done.

Recently we have done a psychological test and according to it I am careful and always say what I think about other people. Partially it is true.

My friends say I am a very gentle, active and sociable person, but they don’t know that sometimes I get very quiet, and prefer to think than to talk, as mother says it’s typical of girls of my age.

My parents sometimes say that I am not hard-working enough, but I think they exaggerate a little.

First of all I must say that I am fond of music, I like all kinds and all tendencies, and I really enjoy classical music. When I was 6 years old I started playing the piano, but my dream always was the violin. I don’t have this instrument, but I believe my dream will come true one day.

I enjoy languages too, because, in my opinion, to know foreign languages mean to have an opportunity to learn something new from other cultures and traditions. Moreover the principal aim of any language is the communication, and it means new acquaintances, new friends. I know Italian and English. Next year I’ll take preparatory courses at the University for learning Chinese.

The third thing I’m interested in is dancing. Every Tuesday and Thursday a friend of mine and me go to a dancing class. I always loved dancing and as my mother says it was impossible to pull me out of dancing, when I was a little girl. I’m afraid I haven’t changed, that’s why of all kings of sports I still prefer dancing. Now I am a belly dancer. It gives me energy and puts me in high spirits.

I haven’t got any special hobby, like collecting something, but I’m fond of playing chess. I am a chess player for 13 years. The more I play the more I like it. I get a really joy taking part in competition or simply playing with my friends.

The happiest day in my life is my birthday, because my parents and I spend a wonderful day together. I must confess I like cooking best of all when some guests come to visit me, then I make something special and very delicious. For my birthday I always make lasagna. After this day I always have only the best impressions.

Now I am a second year student of the Belarusian state University of transport and I had chosen a customы officer profession but even now I didn’t know a definite answer about what I would like to do in future. I believe that the profession I have chosen will give me good career prospects. For me, the most important criterion regarding choosing a profession was job-satisfactory, the opportunity to use different skills, good working conditions. My job must be challenging, have a high social status, well paid and interesting.
