Moscow, the capital of Russian Federation, is one of the biggest industrial, scientific and cultural centres of the world.

The city was founded in 1147 by Yuri Dolgorokiy. At the beginning it occupied the territory of the present-day Kremlin. Now the total area of the city is about nine hundred square kilometres.

A very good geographical position of Moscow in the heart of Russia enabled trade with other cities and countries, to attract craftsmen. Political influence of Moscow constantly grew.
