The Cloze Maker helps you make cloze tests for your students. It's quick and easy. This is how it works:

First, choose your text. You can use a reading text from English File third edition by selecting it from the menu. Or you can use your own text by copying it from a word processor document and pasting it into the cloze maker.

Next, you can edit the text to suit the needs of your students, making it longer or shorter, or changing some words.

Now, you are ready to create the cloze test. Decide if you want to have a list of the missing words at the top of the page or if you want to give your students a clue by having the first letter of each missing word in the blank.

Then, click on the words that you want to remove and get the cloze maker to take them out for you. Now you can print the text or copy and save it on your own word processor to use later.
