Англійський приголосний [D]

Task 1. Виконайте артикуляційну гімнастику (див. Module 1 (Unit 1, Task 1).

Task 2. Ознайомтесь з артикуляцією фонеми [D]:

Основний відтінок фонеми [D] - передньоязиковий апікальний міжзубний пласкощілинний фрикативный ленисний (слабкий) короткий дзвінкий приголосний звук.

В українській мові не icнyє аналога цього англійського звука. Фонема [D] є слабкою короткою дзвінкою парою фонеми [T], а тому артикулюється майже так само, як фонема [T], але (на відміну від артикуляції фонеми [T], при цьому ми додаємо ще й голос - вібрують голосові зв’язки), внаслідок чого продукується дзвінкий звук [D]. Положения губ при артикулюванні англійського міжзубного приголосного [D] також залежить від сусідніх по відношенню до нього звуків: губи розтягнуті у словах типу thee [Di:] та округленi у словах типу sooth [sHD], booth [bHD].

Англійський приголосний [m]

Task 1. Виконайте артикуляційну гімнастику (див. Module 1 (Unit 1, Task 1).

Task 2. Ознайомтесь з артикуляцією фонеми [m]:

Основний відтінок фонеми [m] - губно-губний зімкнений (зімкнено-прохідний) носовий сонант. Вимовляється основний відтінок фонеми [m] загалом так само, що й твердий український звук [м]: губи стулені, утворюючи повну перепону; голосові зв’язки вібрують, м’яке піднебіння опущене, і повітря проходить через носову порожнину, внаслідок чого звук [m] отримує носове забарвлення. Відмінність англійської фонеми [m] від українського [м] полягає у тому, що при вимовлянні англійського [m] губи більш напружені і зовсім не випнуті - типові риси англійської артикуляційної бази; язик трохи просунутий уперед, і кінчик його перебуває біля нижніх зубів. Англійський звук [m] має більшу тривалість звучання, особливо у кінці слова після короткого голосного.
