Dear Sir/Madame!
We are asking you about an urgent assistance. We have got an invitation for our member to participate in International courses on the Wind and Solar energy Technologies which will be hold in China. The courses organaizers pays for all expenses in China but they do not pay for travel to China and back.
We are working in the Karakalpak branch of the Uzbekistan Academy of Scienses (KBUAS) in the group of renewable energy. At the same time we are working out projects regarding to the wind energy in Nongovernmental Organization named Union for Defence of the Aral Sea and Amudarya (UDASA). In the Academy of Scienses we are trying to design a big vertical axis wind turbines. In the UDASA we are working on the raising of public awareness on the renewable energy field. In 1998 we installed a small solar-wind demonstration unit by the support of USAID through ISAR (formely Institute of Soivet-American Relations). It is very much important for us to raise the skill of our specialists but our organization do not have money to pay for travel from Uzbekistan to China and back. By the black market rate it is about $450.00 including the visa cost and flight from Nukus, where we
are, to Tashkent. By the expenses it is:
1. Flight from Nukus to Tashkent and back: - 25000 Uz.sums=US$28.
2. Flight from Tashkent to Beijin and back:- 270000 Uz.sum=US$300.
3. The visa cost = US$70.
4. Daily allowance and accommodation in Tashkent- 25000 Uz. Sums=US$28.
5. For the medical insurance in CHINA =US$20.
The name of our specialist is Ilhomjon Matjanov. He graduated from the Kiev State Aviation Institute. He is a fellow of our group in the KBUAS. He needs the money as soon as possible, because he have to leave for the courses at May 25th and the visa process could take about 2 weeks at least.
Would you, please to find a possibility to help us!
