X. Read and translate the text. Sport and a Healthy Life Style

Nowadays our life is getting more and more tense. People live under the pressure of different problems, such as social, ecological, economic and others. They constantly suffer from stress, noise and dust in big cities, diseases andinstability. A person should be strong and healthy in order to overcome all difficulties. To achieve this aim people ought to take care of their physical and mental health. There are several ways to do it.

The state of your body depends on how much time you spend going in for sport. At least everybody must do morning exercises every day. People all over the world like sport. It makes you healthier, keeps you fit and it's just a great pastime! The healthiest kinds of sport are swimming, running and cycling. In Kazakhstan a huge amount of attention is always given to sport, especially in schools, colleges and universities. You can hardly find a school without a gym or a sports ground. Every town has a few stadiums or swimming pools where local competitions are usually held. Our sportsmen have set a great number of world records: gymnasts, weightlifters, swimmers, figure skaters, runners, and jumpers. Our sportsmen also participate in the Olympic Games and always win lots of medals. There are also a lot of amateur clubs and keep-fit centers in Kazakhstan where people go in for yoga, bodybuilding, aerobics, swimming, skating,jogging. Thousands of people go to stadiums to support their favorite teams and many more prefer to watch the games on TV.

Healthy food is also a very important factor. Overeating causes many dangerous diseases. A daily menu should include meat, fruit and vegetables, milk products, which are rich in vitamins, fat, proteins, etc. On the other hand, modern diets are very popular especially among women. Diets may be harmful if they are used in a wrong way. To be healthy, people should get rid of their bad habits. It's necessary to stop smoking and drinking alcohol. Everyone should remember that cigarettes, alcohol and drugs destroy both body and brain. Besides, according to statistics people under the influence of drugs and alcohol commit most of crimes. In addition it is recommended to watch TV less, and avoid anxiety.

Certainly it's hard to follow all these recommendations, but every person has to choose between a healthy life style and numerous illnesses.
