6.10.5 Retrieve Diagnostic File

A new feature in version 2.05 will collect diagnostic information about the system in the event of an Improper

Shutdown. This is saved in a diagnostic file on the system and may be downloaded at a later time and sent to

Alpha Technical Support to help analyze the problem that occurred. No configuration is required for this feature to

function. In order to send a diagnostic file to Alpha, it must be downloaded from the Logs and Files -> Retrieve

Diagnostic File menu on the webpage.

Note that only one diagnostic file is saved on the CXC system. Therefore, when downloading the diagnostic file

only the information about the latest error is retrieved. Therefore, it is important to save the file as soon as

possible after an error has occurred. Otherwise, the file may be overwritten by a subsequent Improper Shutdown.

This menu category displays only when logged in with Supervisor level access. The web interface enables two

levels of password protection: User and Supervisor. The same password cannot be used for both.
