Situation 2

Ремарка: я описывала общую информацию, что нужно сказать; приветствие, прощание и фразы типа «Fancy that!)» еще стоит добавить)

1: Have you heard about learning for its own sake? It’s becoming more and more common to learn for its own sake, rathen than for any particular practical purpose. In comparison with most other countries, a relatively strong emphasis has been put on the quality of a person that education produces. It’s important to develop useful knowledge and skills and to teach students how to choose their own way of acquiring knowledge.

2: Yes, I’ve heard a lot of discussions about it. Nowadays school children and students choose their own ways of acquiring knowledge. Some people are considered to be talents, others are organized and disciplined. I’ve read that there are several factors which can help to achieve success at school. How do you see it?

1: As I see it, the most important factors for success at school are natural talent, concentration, high IQ, being organized, disciplined and motivated.

2: I can’t agree more. Natural talent is an incredible thing! Nicholas MacMahon is studying at university because he’s too clever for school and he’s just 4 years old! The list of his achievements is impressive but frightening. He devours encyclopedias, reads the Daily Telegraph and is well on the way to becoming a violin virtuoso.

1: Wow! I’m shocked! And he’s just 4! I’ve read about a 6-year old Sonia Allen, who has IQ of 153 which is unusually high. She goes to school in London and plans to finish it at 13. Teachers say that the average IQ for this age is 100 and she gots more! Intelligence is a gift which can help her to develop!

2: The little children are so smart, that’s amazing! They have so many possibilities! But there are also other important factors such as concentration and being organized, disciplined and motivated. Yesterday mum told me a story about 2 brothers, sons of her friend from Britain, Malcolm and James. Malcolm has been working hard all year to enter the University of Oxford while his brother who’s fond of sports trained a lot because he wants to become a professional player..

1: I’ve got your point. That’s just it! Both of them are concentrated on their goals and they’re organized, disciplined and motivated! To sum it up, I can say that all these factors are important but even if you don’t have a natural talent or high IQ you can achieve any goal by being organized and motivated!

2: I absolutely agree with you!
