International торговля is the обмен товарами и услугами between different странами. В зависимости от того what a country производит and needs, it can экспортировать(sell goods to another country) and import (покупать товары from another country).

Правительство can контролировать international торговля. The most обычные меры are tariffs (or пошлины ) and квоты.

Text 14 Duties and quotas

A tariff ( or a duty) is a tax imposed on goods. In export operations it is called export duty. Import duty is imposed on goods when they are brought into a country.

A quota is the maximum quantity of a product allowed into a country during a certain period of time.
