Warm up
Books closed, ask Pp if they know anything about London, the names of any places, anything about these places. Allow Pp to speak mother tongue if necessary.
Tell Pp that they are going to learn about London and some places in London in this lesson.
Ask a P to show London on the map and encourage Pp to open their textbooks.
1A Individual, class. To introduce the names of some of the most popular sights of London.
Tell Pp to look through the list of names of some of the sights of London and say them. Correct the pronunciation if necessary and get Pp practise saying them.
Ask Pp to find the photos of these places on the pages and think of how these place are clled in Russian. Provide the Russian equivalents if necessary. In a weaker class you might want to write them on the blackboard and have Pp copy them in their exercise books.
