Shopping
Read
the text and answer the questions.
I like to do my shopping at big department stores and supermarkets.
They sell various goods under one roof and this is very convenient. A
department store, for example, consists of many departments:
readymade clothes, fabrics, shoes, sports goods, toys, china and
glass, electric appliances, cosmetics, linen, curtains, cameras,
records, etc. You can buy everything you like there. The things for
sale are on the counters so that they can be easily seen.
I’m afraid that I can’t tell you what is my
favourite shop. It may be clothing shop, or hobby shop, where I can
find all things that I need to do handmade things. Also I like to go
to the toy shop, for me it is very interesting, in spite of my age.
I know one Britain’s store, it is called Marcs
and Spencer. Marks and Spencer is Britain’s favourite store.
Tourists love it too. Their best-selling clothes are: for women:
jumpers, bras, and knickers; for men: shirts, socks, pyjamas,
dressing gowns, and suits; for children: underwear and socks.
Best-sellers in food include: chicken, bread, vegetables, and
sandwiches.
I go to the grocery store every day. Usually I buy bread, kefir,
mineral water and something that I need for dinner.
