Для правильного выполнения заданий контрольной работы №3 необходимо изучить следующие разделы курса английского языка:

  1. Модальные глаголы и их эквиваленты.

  2. Инфинитив и его функции в предложении.

  3. Особенности перевода инфинитивных конструкций Complex Object и Complex Subject на русский язык.

Вариант 1

I. Переведите предложения на русский язык, обращая внимание на модальные глаголы.

  1. We must build a new building for our school.

  2. We cannot see many stars without a telescope.

  3. You may come in and sit down.

  4. You shall do as I tell you.

  5. You ought to help your parents.

  6. Our country needs good specialists.

II. Заполнить пропуски модальными глаголами в нужной форме.
