I
t is a pleasure to write the Preface of the book Viva Voce
in Pharmaceutical Chemistry. This book would be of great use in
reducing anxiety of the students while appearing for oral
examination of practical organic and inorganic chemistry. The
book would be appropriate for DPharm, BPharm and BSc
students. The book has covered all the aspects given in the
ER 2020 Diploma in Pharmacy syllabus. The study of this book
would appraise them with 961 questions and answers. The book
covers the topics like apparatus used, its cleaning, calibration,
periodic table, purification processes, limit tests, identification
tests, volumetric analysis, quantitative organic analysis,
qualitative organic analysis, etc. The reason behind the use of a
particular reagent, maintaining specific pH, principles involved,
chemical reactions occurring in the experiment, calculations
involved, etc. are dealt in detail.
I am ever grateful to the omnipotent Almighty for whatever
little I could share with the students.
I am thankful to Mr YN Arjuna and Mr SK Jain of CBS
Publishers & Distributors Pvt Ltd for publishing the book.
