9.Translate from Russian into English. Slow TV – slow Norwegian TV.
Norway is considered to be a rather boring developed country, where nothing interesting happens. However, Norwegians don’t feel bored but enjoy their boring life. Moreover, they have invented SlowTVwhich shows videos lasting for several hours or even for several days, where nothing happens. Slow TV shows railways (roads) from a cockpit of a moving train, a process of fishing, contests of knitting a sweater. Balanced Norwegians find the idea to be exciting. But not only Norwegians are excited by Slow TV. Nowadays Netflix is promoting the checked and tested idea in 190 countries including developing ones. Satisfied Norwegians are proud of the fact they have created the worldwide trend. However, the founder of slow moviewasanAmericanAndyWarhal.In1963thedistinguishedpop-artartistallovertheworld made theanti-filmSleep,whereatiredmanwassleepingfor5 hoursand 35 minutes.Thattime theWarhol’s idea didn’t seem to be inspiring and theidea failed.

Originally people thought of black color as the color of night, the color of darkness. Prehistorically, people were obviously more at risk of being attacked by predators or by enemies when in the dark. So, through evolution, humans have consistently developed a tendency to be scared of darkness and black. For instance, many cultures rigorously insist black animals bring bad luck. However, blackisn’tasdarkaspeoplethinkastheword“black”originally meant“shining whiteorflashing”andtheidiom“tobeintheblack”meanstogainrelatively highprofits.Since the beginning of the 20th century fashion has consequently persuaded people that as the color black can bring fear to most, it can provide relevant security to those who wear black. The green planet that we call home may have actually looked purple in the earliest days, according to the“Purple Earth theory”.There werethe tiniest microorganismsthat dominated the planet and possibly created the purist purple hue that could be seen from space. Later times the most saturated hues of purple were adopted by ancientupper class. Imperial purple became the monopoly of Roman emperors who prohibited their citizens from wearing purple clothing under penalty of death, though poorer citizens couldn’t afford it –a pound of purple woolwasmuchmoreexpensivethanmostpeopleearnedinayear.Purplewasthe most favorite color of Egypt’s Cleopatra known for her most extraordinary purple sails ship of the time. Purple has survived for centuries, has been the most legislated color in history, has sent men to their deaths and yet still causes most people to smile when they look at it. But this may be the biggest threat purple has ever faced.

We feel more comfortable and find it more pleasing when the parts of an artwork seem to balance each other. Imbalance gives us an unsettled feeling, and that is something that for most artists is notthedesired effect. Balance was very much important for Japanese art starting from the 14th -16th centuries when it was under the inspiring influence of Zen Buddhism. ThesculpturesofZenmasters theycreated wereallarticulated andbalanced withanemphasis on the strength of their balanced life. In contrast, Indian art reflected the value of prana, or thebreath of life, which can be seen in theanimated quality of its sculptures. Indian sculptures emphasized the sense of movement and suggested a dancing motion. The most distinguished Japanese art of later centuries put an emphasis on asymmetrical balance which influenced
