Topic 2
My Day
The alarm-clock wakes me up in the morning. Usually I get up at 7
o’clock. At first, I make my bed and do morning exercises. Then I have a
shower, clean my teeth, brush my hair. After that I go to the kitchen and
have breakfast. I always have a cup of tea and some sandwiches. After
breakfast I dress up.
I leave the house at ten minutes to eight. I walk to the bus station. My
way to the college takes about forty minutes. The lessons start at nine
sharp. We usually have 4 or 5 lessons a day. After two lessons I have
lunch at the conservatory canteen. As a rule, I have potatoes with salad.
Then I have two or three lessons more.
After lessons I go home. I have tea with sandwiches and do my
homework. In the evening my parents come from work and we have
dinner together at 7 p.m. We have roast chicken or fish with potatoes or
other vegetables. After dinner I help my mum to wash up. Sometimes I go
to the cinema or just walk with my friends. Before going to bed I read
books or watch TV.

Topic 3
My House. My Flat.
My family lives in a 9-storeyed building. We have an elevator in our entrance hall. We live on the seventh floor, that’s why we’re glad that we needn’t to walk up.
Our flat is very comfortable and cozy. It has three rooms: my parents’ bedroom, my room, a living room. It also includes a kitchen, a hall and a bathroom. Our flat has all modern conveniences: cold and hot running water, electricity, central heating.
16
A living room is the biggest one in our flat. It has a long table with several chairs in the middle. To the right of the table, there is a big wall unit with a wardrobe and different shelves. Opposite the table, there is a TV table with a TV set on it. There is a cozy sofa with two armchairs. The floor is covered with a beautiful carpet. The pictures are hanging on the walls.
My parents’ bedroom is cozy and spacious. There is a bed with two bedside tables and small lamps on each of them.
My room is the smallest one. It’s very cozy and light. It has a desk, an armchair, a wardrobe, a bed and a piano. There are a lot of shelves with books on the walls, because I like to read. There is also a computer on my desk. The wallpaper is light green.
Our kitchen is large enough. In the middle it has a dining-table with chairs. Opposite it, there is a cupboard. The kitchen has a refrigerator to the right of the cupboard and a sink to the left. Our kitchen is wellequipped. It has a toaster, an electric teakettle, a microwave and a coffee maker. We like to spend evenings in our kitchen, to drink tea and talk.
I like my flat very much. I think there is no place like home.
