For successful literary analysis, it is important to understand the conditions in which the text was written and what was happening at that time in the life of the author and his contemporary society.

2. The meaning and symbolism of the title.
The title of the text often carries some meaning, so you need to pay attention to this point. The exception is often poetry, which is sometimes not named at all.

3. Genre of the text.

The subject is a topic that acts as the foundation for a work of literature.

6. Compositional structure and key plot points.
In order to describe the key plot points, you need to focus on the main elements of the structure: exposition; development of the main action (rising action); climax; falling action; denouement.
7. Conflict.
The core of most literary works is conflict: external (hero and society or protagonist and antagonist) or internal (hero with himself). The conflict often acts as the engine of the plot and finds resolution in the denouement.
8. Characters and images.
At this point in the literary analysis of the work, it is necessary to describe the main characters (both positive and negative) and the images that are used in the text to represent them.
