3.4Survey (qualitative)
At the end of the questionnaire there was an open-ended question for both the interactive and non-interactive scenario. These were analyzed with an affinity diagram (Preece et al. 2015) in order to find common themes and patterns from the given answers.
The following sentences were drawn out from the raw data, and out of the 15 who chose to write something it is stated how many that fit the pattern that the sentence represents.
Interactive
•The lowest quality is distinguishable but it is hard to differentiate between the samples in the upper spectrum - 5/15
•Below 40 (on the MUSHRA rating scale) is not useful - 6/15
Non-interactive
•It is important to have good sound when watching a movie - 3/15
•Below 60 (on the MUSHRA rating scale) is not useful - 4/15
•The demand on audio quality is higher when listening to music compared to when watching a movie - 4/15
•The demand on audio quality is lower when utilizing VoIP compared to the other scenarios (playing games and music) - 2/15
Analysis
When analyzing these sentences there is no apparent correlation between the open-ended answers and RQ3. Hence, no further conclusions can be drawn about the connected hypothesis.
