Samex Offshore Engineering urgently require a Project Director to lead an existing project team.

Samex Offshore Engineering is recognized as one of the leading companies engaged in the design and construction of offshore platforms, pipelines, and loading terminals round the world.

The vacant position is in the offshore construction section of our Latin American Division, based in Rio de Janeiro. This section is currently involved in the planning and construction of the platform for the Leme Field in the Campos Basin, Brazil.

Responsibilities will include:

The planning and supervision of all aspects of the platform construction work, in line with the project’s specified scheduled dates

leading and coordinating the day-to-day work of the Project Management Team liaison with the other agencies and organizations involved in the venture

Applicants should have:

appropriate qualifications at degree level

a comprehensive knowledge of the construction and planning procedures associated with offshore structures

experience of project supervision, preferably gained in an offshore oil or gas environment

experience in fabrication and installation of floating structures

Knowledge of Latin American working conditions and of the Portuguese language is desirable.
