4. The summary

The purpose of the present course project consists in purchase of skills independently to decide problems, connected with technology and organization of transportation of freights on marine transport. At fulfillment of the given course project the special attention is given to such sections, as the general (common) requirements to accommodation of the freights on a vessel, cargo plan of a court (vessels), transportation of the general freights.

Distinctive features of sea transportation is: accommodation of plenties of the freight in cargo premises, not possessing correct geometrical form; occurrence of significant additional loads of variable character at rolling and pitching of a vessel; large terms of transportation; probability of a large difference in temperatures and humidity; original particulars of cargo operations in ports and on

road and other.

For definition (determination) of conformity of a given vessel the particular conditions of its (his) operation and maintenance of safety of the transported freights need to know main technical parameters of

a vessel and its(his) field-performance characteristics, i.e. main arrangement, mass and volumetric characteristics, design features, quantity and capacity of load factor means, speed, range of navigation

and degree of technical perfection of a vessel.

The correct construction of the cargo plan develops from:

Selection of the freights for complete use of cargo capacity and carrying capacity and achievement of a maximum of the incomes;

Distributions of a variable load between cargo premises;

Distributions (complete set) freights in each cargo premise;

Checks of the cargo plan for maintenance proper stability of a vessel, trim and roll;

Drawing up of adjusting accounts.
