There are three states of matter. We know water in all three states. We know solid water which we call ice; liquid water; and a gas which we call steam. There is a definite size and a definite shape in a solid. There is a definite

size, but there is no definite shape in a liquid. There is no definite size or shape in a gas. Тhese three states of matter depend on the free movement of the molecules in it. In a solid the molecules move very slowly; in a liquid they move more freely; in a gas they move with a great speed.

0.1- nought point one / point one
0.2- nought point two / point two
0.3- nought point three / point three
0.01 - nought point nought one / point nought one 0.02 - nought point nought two / point nought two 0.03 - nought point nought three / point nought three 3.36 - three point three six

1 ½ - one and a half
2 ¼ - two and a fourth
1 ⅓ – three and a third
3¼ miles = three and a quarter miles
в английском языке соответствуют вопросы "What is the time?" или "What time is it now?" Возможные ответы: It’s seven (o’clock).
It’s seven a.m. It’s seven p.m.
It's twenty (minutes) past eight. -
It's twenty (minutes) to eight.
It's half past seven. -
It's a quarter past nine.
It's a quarter to nine. -
It's eight twenty-five. It's seven forty.
1900 - nineteen hundred
1905 – nineteen oh five
1998 - nineteen ninety eight
2000 - two thousand
2002 - two thousand and two in the year of 1994
in the year of 1812
Today is the first (1st) of September.
My birthday is on the twenty second (22nd) of May.
британский: the eighth of January, nineteen ninety-eight; американский: January eighth, nineteen ninety-eight;
