Fergus

I love computers. I owned one of the early laptops and today I have both a PC and a laptop. My life as a freelance musician would be a real struggle without my computers. I have to run myself like a small business, and I simply wouldn't be able to do that without a computer. You have to keep in touch with music agents, concert promoters and conductors, and there are lots of letters to write. I use my computer to send out information about myself each week by e-mail. I can even send a picture of myself that way too. It saves a lot of money on stationery, stamps and so on. I also keep all my accounts up-to-date on it and use the internet to research new music. The other thing I love about having a computer is that being a professional musician can be a solitary business, because you spend a lot of time on your own at home. My e-mail is like having a friend in the flat.

The founder Steve Jobs offered a name of "Apple" because in this case telephone number of firm went straight in the telephone reference book before "Atari"

William (Bill) Henry Gates (1955) – the businessman, the founder of Microsoft corporation, the richest person of the planet from 1996 to 2007. 1995 in Gates's biography is marked by a publication of the book "The road to the future". Gates, being one of coauthors of the book, expressed the vision of development of information technologies. In 1996 the Microsoft company began to be engaged in development of Internet technologies, and Bill Gates made amendments to the first book. The second book "Business with a Thought Speed" appeared in 1999, submitted possible solutions of business challenges by means of information technologies. In 1998 Gates stopped being the president of the company, and in 2000 resigned as the executive director. In June, 2008 it gave the executive powers to Microsoft corporations, however remained the chairman of the board of directors. In October, 2008 in Bill Gates's biography his third bgC3 company – the research center in the field of analytics, information technologies was founded.
