7.4. Подготовка самопрезентации

Для подготовки самопрезентации, то есть рассказа о себе или, другими словами, ответа на вопрос, всегда задаваемого на собеседовании: “Can you tell me about yourself” (Расскажите о себе), магистранту можно использовать в качестве плана резюме, самостоятельно составленное в письменной форме. В рассказе о себе необходимо сообщить свое имя, по желанию личную информацию о себе, обязательно дать сведения об опыте работы, образовании, различных курсах, стажировках и карьерных целях.

My name is Ivan Petrov. I was born in September 14 1990 in Moscow region. I am single.

I’d like to tell you about my education. In 2012 I graduated from Moscow Automobile and Road Construction State Technical University on specialty “Construction of roads and airfields”. I received diploma in Highway engineering. At present I am taking a Master course and continue training in the same specialty.

In my scientific research I deal with the problem of soil stabilization technology in the construction of engineering structures.

As for my professional qualifications, I can say that firstly I started work as a lab assistant in the Department of Structural Mechanics (MADI). I studied computer programs MARC and NASTRAN for designing of pavement. This was my first real experience in roads design. Then I worked as a roadman. I took part in internship from MADI where I mainly worked in geodetic support of the project. It was the capital construction project on the 3d category section of road “Moscow-Riga” 300th km in Tver region.

After that in summer 2011 I worked in Magna-ILLC as a foreman (прораб). My functions were organization of work at the construction projects of parking lots in Moscow. Here I gained experience I in the field of personnel management and project documentation.

Finally after receiving diploma in “Highway engineering” I worked for company “Rock stone” as a Project manager. I was engaged in management of constructions projects using new technologies in the field of soil stabilization technology.

Now I am seeking a position in the field of roads design and construction, especially in engineering projects using the technology of soil stabilization that will let me develop my professional skills and participate in different interesting projects. I have design and construction skills as well as communication and management skills to work in a team as a highway engineer.

I think my skills are enough to contribute to the development of any highway engineering project.
