1. Чтение некоторых сочетаний гласных букв

В английском языке один и тот же звук имеет несколько способов буквенного выражения.

Запомните слова: rail, train, railway, freight

2. Артикль не употребляется:

1) перед английскими неисчисляемыми существительными (I like coffee). Но (I liked the coffee -- Мне понравился именно этот кофе);

2) перед притяжательными и указательными местоимениями (This is my friend);

3) перед количественными числительными (We have five lessons);

4) перед отрицанием «no» (I have no friends);

5) перед названиями наук и учебных предметов (I like chemistry);

6) перед названиями озёр, островов, городов, стран (London, England). Но: the Russian Federation, the United States of America, the United Kingdom.

Запомните выражения:

1. С неопределенным артиклем: I have a ..., She has a ..., This/That is a ..., I see a ..., There is a ..., at a quarter past six, to go for a walk, to have a good time, a lot of, in a day (через день), in an hour (через час).

2. Без артикля: At _school, at _home, at _work, to go to _school, to leave _home, at _half past seven, after _school, from _school, after _breakfast, before _dinner, at _lunch, for _supper, to cook _tea, to play _chess, to play _football.

3. С определенным артиклем: in the north, to the south, to the cinema, to the theatre, to the shop, to the market.

3.Расскажите о жизни студента по образцу, используя слова и выражения из урока.

My study

I am a student of ….. department of the Rostov State Transport University. My future speciality is …... I go to the University every day. Usually I get up at 7 am. I have a shower and brush my teeth. Then I have a breakfast. I live in a student hostel. Our lectures begin at 8.20 in the morning. We have 4 or 5 lectures every day. We stay at the University till 3.20 or 5 pm. We have no lectures on Sundays. I go home on weekend or have a good rest with my friends. Rostov is new for me and I want to visit all interesting places in it. I need to work hard to be a good engineer. We study many general and special subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, History, Chemistry, English, Russian. The most difficult subject for me is Physics. The academic year is divided into 2 terms. Each term ends with examination session. We have to take several tests, credits and exams at the end of each term. The course of studies lasts for 5 years. After successfully passing our final exams we will get the diplomas of the engineers in the field of rolling stock.
